As a sprinter for the Mekeel Christian Academy girls’ track team, Liz Singleton knows something about good starts.
In her first season playing soccer, the freshman has helped the 5-1-1 Lions get out to their best start in a while. She used her speed Monday at Maalwyck Park to create scoring opportunities for herself and others, scoring twice and registering an assist in Mekeel’s 3-2 Western Athletic Conference win over the Wolves of Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville.
