— A Pattersonville man was killed this morning after his minivan rolled over on Interstate 890.

Town police said Theodore Evenden, 57, was ejected from the vehicle after it veered off the eastbound ramp near the General Electric plant off Exit 3. Lt. Michael Brown said Evenden sustained a neck injury and was taken to Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, where he was pronounced dead.

Brown said Evenden, a worker at General Electric's Research and Development facility in Niskayuna, was alone at the time of the accident. Brown said witnesses observed Evenden swerve.

"We were not exactly able to determine what caused him to lose control," Brown said. "There were witnesses that saw the vehicle go off the road, but they didn't know what cause that to happen."
