Republican candidate will work for small towns like Malta
I am writing today to express my support for Tony Jordan’s Assembly campaign in the 112th District and the small-town values that he shares with the residents of Malta.
After meeting with Tony, I can tell that he will bring common sense solutions to Albany, while at the same time helping our community preserve its identity and quality of life. Everyone knows that Malta is going through many changes as of late. Our little town is beginning to blossom, as we strive to balance smart growth with open space conservation. Tony Jordan understands that we need to draw top-notch, high-paying jobs to the area while respecting Malta as the family town that we are proud to call home. This juggling act is crucial to our town’s future, but I know that he will be a willing partner in our success.
Please join me in voting for Tony Jordan in the Republican Primary on Sept. 9. Malta is heading in the right direction and Tony will help us stay on that path.

Communities come together to encourage recycling
Aug. 9 was a bright and beautiful day as residents from six towns entered the hazardous waste disposal day at the town of Milton Town Hall.
This smooth, flawless operation was the result of a team effort that included six townships as well as DEC [Department of Environmental Conservation] to give residents an opportunity to get rid of old paint and solvents, florescent light bulbs, electronic equipment and much more. Coordinating such an event has a very a positive impact on the environment by ensuring that hazardous waste materials get placed into the proper waste stream. It certainly was a pleasure being involved in this event for the last two years.
I would like to commend Joe Miranda and Frank Thompson from the town of Milton for coordinating this major effort. In addition, I would like to thank the many other volunteers who assisted with the day’s success. Think green!
