— A man has been charged with raping a family member.

Albany County sheriff's investigators said Stephen F. Huether, 42, of 321 Elm Drive, raped the woman Friday in his home. Investigators said they were notified Saturday by staff at Albany Medical Center, where the victim reported the alleged assault and was treated and released.

A search warrant was obtained, investigators said, and items were taken from Huether's home as evidence. Investigators said they believe Huether had been sexually abusing the victim for at least 18 months.

Huether was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree criminal sexual act, first-degree unlawful imprisonment and third-degree incest. Investigators said additional charges may be filed for allegedly photographing sexual acts with the victim.
