After European horses, attracted by the prospect of running on Santa Anita’s synthetic Pro-Ride surface, made a big impact on the 2008 Breeders’ Cup, it came as little surprise that the 2009 BC drew 37 European horses out of the 166 who were pre-entered for the 14 races at the California track this week....
