Lacrosse: Tartans win again

Matt Renko and Nick Leffler both totaled six points, and Scotia-Glenville rallied to beat LaSalle, 10-7, for its second win in as many days.

Renko led the Tartans (4-7) with four goals, Leffler had a team-high four assists, and Ryan Gamache won 13 faceoffs. Brian Schneider had two goals for LaSalle (3-5).

Katelyn Dwyer tied a Scotia-Glenville record with nine goals, and the Tartans battled back in the second half before beating Schuylerville in overtime, 16-15, in a girls’ Foothills Council game.

Megan Clune had a hat trick for the Tartans. Allison Liptak had eight goals and 10 points for Schuylerville.

Kayla Goman notched eight goals to propel Greenwich past Johnston, 15-4.

Emma Malicki worked for six goals and seven points in Albany Academy’s 12-10 Capital District Women’s Lacrosse League win over Holy Names.

Emily White had six goals and two assists, and Glens Falls went to 8-1 with a 14-5 non-league win at Schenectady.
