The winter flu season is off to an early start in the Capital Region, as it is across the state and around the nation. The state Health Department saw confirmed flu cases in Schenectady, Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties during the week ending Nov. 24, the most recent information available. What do you expect? People started getting the flu shot in September. I used to get the flu - when I got the flu shot. I stopped getting the flu shot, and stopped getting the flu. Wake up people. Unless you are old and frail and seriously immunocompromised- why would you put a virus deliberately into your body or of your young child? Take Vitamin D3 instead, drink warm teas with honey and lemon or especially green tea and just simply wash your hands frequently - and dont touch your face. Its like the over use of anti-biotics- causing our bodies to become less resistant - the flu shots are now causing more flu.
