— Republican Assemblyman George Amedore's lead in the 46th Senate District over Democrat Cecilia Tkaczyk shrunk today but may be large enough to hold once the final votes are counted on Monday.

Heading into the day, Amedore was leading by 111 votes. About 258 initially contested ballots from Albany, Montgomery, Schenectady and Ulster counties were reviewed today, with Tkaczyk netting 64 votes in the process, according to Tkaczyk's campaign.

All that's left now, pending legal appeals, are about 125 votes in Greene County, where counting is scheduled to start on Monday.
