Sex offender sent to prison for having sex with underage girl

— A registered sex offender was sentenced Tuesday to 3 1⁄2 years in prison for having sex with a 17-year-old girl in Ballston Spa.

Jeremy Duffney, 22, of 2865 Route 9, Room 106, Ballston Spa, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court in May to third-degree rape in the January incident.

Duffney is a registered sex offender for having oral sex with a 13-year-old girl in 2010. He was sentenced to six months in the Saratoga County Jail and 10 years’ probation for that crime. In April 2011, he was found to be in violation of his probation for failing to register as a sex offender.

Also in Saratoga County Court recently:

• Michael Pauldine, 35, of 105 Traver Road, Wilton, was sentenced June 28 to five days in Saratoga County Jail and five years’ probation for driving while intoxicated in December in Wilton.

• Patrick Subcliff, 40, of 76 Eastside Drive, Saratoga Springs, was sentenced June 27 to one to three years in prison concurrent to a sentence from Montgomery County for a probation violation on a 2009 DWI conviction.

• Michael Lamanna, 57, of Kinderhook, was sentenced June 27 to 1 1⁄3 to four years in prison concurrent to an Albany County sentence for driving while intoxicated in February.

• Ricky D. Jackson, 21, of Glens Falls, was sentenced June 26 to two years in prison for an attempted drug sale charge from March in Moreau. He pleaded guilty in May.

• Rosa Cardona, 28, of 220 Broadway, Apt. G, Schuylerville, was sentenced June 26 to time already served in prison and five years’ probation on a felony DWI charge from January in the town of Saratoga. She pleaded guilty in April.

• Stephen W. Michaels, 52, of 3 Brook Hollow Road, Ballston Lake, was sentenced June 21 to five days in Saratoga County Jail and five years’ probation for driving while intoxicated in February in Clifton Park. He pleaded guilty in April.

• Reagan R. Moon, 31, of South Glens Falls, was sentenced June 21 to 1 1⁄3 to four years in prison after violating probation for a burglary conviction from 2011.

• Jason S. Halter, 37, of Albany, was sentenced June 21 to one to three years in prison after pleading guilty to a probation violation on an attempted criminal possession of a forged instrument conviction from 2010.

• Donald R. Henderson, 44, of 26 Bensonhurst Drive, Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty June 19 to felony second-degree attempted criminal mischief and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. In March 2011, Henderson was accused of leading state police on a chase starting in Mayfield. They used a helicopter to track him and eventually caught up to him in Malta, but not before his 1995 GMC backed into one of the police cars. He is slated to be sentenced in August.

• Aaron Buckner, 36, of 187 Washington St., Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty June 19 to failure to report an address change by a registered sex offender within 10 days. He was arrested in November in Saratoga Springs.

• James D. Stephens, 23, of 28 Lincoln Ave., Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty June 14 to felony third-degree burglary in connection with a Feb. 3 incident in Wilton. He is scheduled to be sentenced in August.

• Casey M. Dodge, 27, of Troy, was sentenced June 14 to two to four years in prison on a burglary charge from 2010.

• Gary Piskothy, 42, of Hudson Falls, was sentenced June 14 to one to three years in prison for driving while intoxicated in January 2011 in Malta.

• Michael Heimburg, 29, of 320 Moonlight Drive, Ballston Spa, was sentenced June 14 to drug treatment court after admitting to a probation violation on his 2009 DWI conviction.

• Thomas DeCrosta, 60, of 118 Clamsteam Road, 1D, Clifton Park, was sentenced June 14 to five days in Saratoga County Jail and five years of probation for a DWI charge in March in Clifton Park.

• Denny E. Hunter, 58, of 279 Wilbur Road, Schuylerville, was sentenced June 13 to time already served in prison and five years’ probation for driving while intoxicated. He was arrested in October 2011 in Mechanicville.

• Tyler S. Moon, 26, of 8A Carmella Drive, Gansevoort, was sentenced June 12 to 1 1⁄2 to three years in prison and ordered to pay $684 in restitution for felony charges of DWI and criminal possession of stolen property. He was arrested in October 2011 in Moreau.

• Bruce C. Albert, 57, of 52 Zephyr Lane, Apt. 6, Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty June 12 to felony first-degree criminal contempt. He was charged in March in Saratoga Springs.

• Chester C. Jones, 34, no address given, was sentenced June 11 to six years in prison and three years of post-release supervision on his guilty plea in April to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. Jones was indicted in July 2011 after an investigation in Saratoga Springs.

• Charles Morine, 42, of Lake George, was sentenced June 11 to 6 1⁄2 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision concurrent with a sentence from Warren County. Morine pleaded guilty in April to felony second-degree burglary for an incident in August in the town of Saratoga.

• Lisa Freemantle, 39, of Route 50 South, Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty June 11 to felony attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. Saratoga Springs police arrested her in May.

• Catrina Sumner, 30, of 188 South Broadway, Apt. 14, Saratoga Springs, pleaded guilty June 11 to felony failure to report an address change by a registered sex offender within 10 days. She was arrested in May.

• Douglas Amsler, 22, of Watervliet, was sentenced June 11 to time already served in jail in connection with a felony burglary charge from September in Malta.

• Russell Palmateer III, 35, of 248 Broadway, Community Court Apt. 211, Saratoga Springs, was sentenced June 11 to five years’ probation and ordered to pay $11,867.36 in restitution on felony burglary and grand larceny charges. He pleaded guilty in April after being arrested in March in Saratoga Springs.

• Alfred Evans, 23, of the Budget Inn, 2865 Route 9, Ballston Spa, was sentenced June 11 to a year in Saratoga County Jail on a charge of third-degree rape from July 2011 in the town of Saratoga. He pleaded guilty in April.

17 is the age of consent in NY, so she either wasn't 17 or she wasn't underage.
