Man found dead at Camp Bisco music festival
MARIAVILLE State Police said a New Jersey man was found dead after apparently overdosing on drugs sometime before the Camp Bisco festival grounds opened at the Indian Lookout Country Club late Wednesday evening.
Investigators said William P. Graumann, 29, of New Milford was found dead in his tent by adjacent campers, who were attempting to wake him late Wednesday morning. He was among the campers who arrived Tuesday to assist setting up concession stands and was last seen around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Others reported Graumann as having difficulty walking and slurring his words on the evening before his body was discovered. Troopers discovered numerous Hydrocone and Xanex pills in Graumann’s tent, along with marijuana.
An autopsy conducted at Ellis Hospital revealed no evidence of foul play. The cause of death is pending the results of a toxicology report, according to investigators.
Fans attending Camp Bisco festival began arriving Wednesday. The campground was opened late Wednesday evening, with upward of 12,000 people expected to attend the three-day music festival.
