Softball: Malinn leads RCS
Michelle Malin tossed a three-hitter and slammed a double and single to power Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk past Germantown, 10-1, for consolation honors in the Albany Tournament.
Kourtney Irwin put together a triple, single and three RBI, and Ashley Houk added two singles and a double.
Scoring 11 runs in the first inning, Milford whipped Sharon Springs, 21-6, to win its own Booster Club Tournament.
Milford banged out 19 hits in the championship game.
Brittany Baker, Renee Handy, Maris Plank and Hannah Judd, all of Sharon Springs, were named to the all-tourney team.
In the first round, Sharon Springs beat Laurens, 16-4.
Handy, Plank, Judd and Samantha Jackson each had three hits.
Baker struck out 13 en route to the victory.
