Softball: Scotties win
Marissa Woitkowski drove in four runs, and Ballston Spa pushed across a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to beat Niskayuna, 6-5, in a Suburban Council game.
Taylor McMahon had three singles as the Lady Scotties finished 4-12, 4-14.
Gina Grant had two hits for Nis-kayuna, which finished 7-9 in the league.
Alyssa LaLonde threw a three-hitter and struck out 12 as Johns-town beat Broadalbin-Perth, 4-1, to finish 9-5 in the Foothills Council.
Lindsay Achzet had a triple and drove in a pair of runs, and Brynn Hlozansky also knocked in a run for the Lady Bills, who finished third in the league.
Joelle Salisbury and Caroline Bouchard combined on a two-hitter, and both AnnaGrace Maggs and Salisbury drove in five runs as Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons beat Albany, 21-0, in the Big 10.
Maggs hit a pair of home runs, and Salisbury hit a pair of triples for 8-2 Bishop Gibbons.
