Saratoga City Ballet, a preprofessional ballet company and school in Saratoga Springs, is hosting a Nutcracker tea early next month and its full-length “Nutcracker” ballet later in December.

The Nutcracker tea will be held 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Van Patten Golf Club’s Vista Restaurant, 924 Main St., Clifton Park.

The troupe will present highlights from Act 2, the Land of Sweets. Visitors can meet the dancers after the performance for photos and autographs. Brunch will be served.

Tickets are $25 and are available at www.brownpapertickets.com.

The full “Nutcracker” ballet, the company’s 20th anniversary performance, will be held at Skidmore College’s Dance Theater in Saratoga Springs on Dec. 14-16.

The production will feature former New York City Ballet soloist William Otto as Drosselmeyer, emerging young artists from the Saratoga City Ballet Company and children from the ballet school.

Tickets — $19 for adults, $16 for students and seniors, and $13 for ages 10 and under — go on sale Saturday. Performances are at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15; and noon and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16.
