How is it that Gary McCarthy never seems to know anything? The city of Schenectady is now an American tragedy thanks to the constant missteps of Mayor Gary McCarthy. As a councilman, he sold the [liens on] the Unitarian Church, Hindu Temple and Carver Community Center, with other foreclosed properties, to the American Tax Foundation [ATF]— and claims he “didn’t know.” The city had a deal with [retired] Fire Chief Robert Farstad that would have ...

Gary P. Guido,

Obama has time for The View but not the Presidebnt of Israel.

Obama said he would give us his findings on the murder of our Ambassador in Libya but the FBI has not even been there nor have they interviewed anyone who was a witness but we know CNN gor there and picked up the Ambassadors private journal off the floor.

Obama touted Arab Spring as this great thing in Egypt but now it has been taken over by the Muslim Brotherhood who are radical Muslims at best, I told everyone that this would happen and I'm only a guy that follows the news on the internet, why did Obama not know, or did he.

Why was Stevens even there in Libya and why was he there with no security and why did we not have protection of our Embassies around the world on 9/11/2012, the reports are out that we were pre warned.

Obama is a threat to America at best and I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh ever, I read facts both in America and the foriegn newspapers of Europe, you should try it sometime.

It's surprising that in all your 'reading' of 'facts', you never came across the 'fact' that the FBI operates inside the USA, while the CIA operates in foreign countries.

That might be the reason that the FBI hasn't been to Syria.

SnowGrinch - I'm going to defend wmarancic on this one. Being 60+, there are more and more times I say or write something that is "reversed", even though I know better. Government agencies are a big mish-mash of alphabet soup anyway. CIA, FBI, SSA, ATF, IRS ...

Anyway - I absolutely agree that when to POTUS is appearing on every TV show he can that he could certainly find time for other leaders.

And I credit his ability to find TV face time that of CAMPAIGNING and not PRESIDING. Not unique to BO either, nor just Dems. How much of the work we are paying everyone from local to federal legislators and executives to campaign, when they should be working? Maybe they should all forfeit pay from September until the end of their term.

Neither President Shimon Peres, or Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have even requested to see President Obama.

I thought we went through that when the wing nuts were up in arms over Obama meeting with a pirate, but not Netanyahu.

I defy you to name even one president that didn't campaign for re-election while in office.

Snowgrinch wrong as usual.
What authority do FBI special agents have to make arrests in the United States, its territories, or on foreign soil?

In the U.S. and its territories, FBI special agents may make arrests for any federal offense committed in their presence or when they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed, or is committing, a felony violation of U.S. laws. On foreign soil, FBI special agents generally do not have authority to make arrests except in certain cases where, with the consent of the host country, Congress has granted the FBI extraterritorial jurisdiction.

BTW snowgrinch it is the CIA that can not operate on U.S. soil and also a U.S. Embassy is U.S. soil, it is a soveriegn nation.

Because an embassy represents a sovereign state, any attack on an embassy is considered an attack on the country it represents.

Again, from your posted link:

While AN EMBASSY REMAINS THE TERRITORY OF THE HOST STATE (so clearly it is NOT US Soil) under international rules representatives of the host country may not enter an embassy without permission—even to put out a fire.

The essential difference between liberals and conservatives is that liberals could not exist without conservatives to defend their freedom and support them economically....Conservatives on the other hand could live quite well without liberals. And that IS the truth.

Wmarincic's "truth" is actually his "opinion".

Both Conservatives, Liberals and anywhere in between, defend our freedom in our military.

The states who are the largest drain on the US Taxpayers are traditionally REPUBLICAN STATES.
The states who pay the entitlements used by those REPUBLICAN STATES are the Democrat States.

It's the Democrats who support the Republicans, not the other way around.

Of the top 10 poorest US states, 9 of the 10 are traditionally Republican States.

Of the top 10 richest states, 9 of the 10 are
traditionally Democrat States.

wmarincic:

"you have a mental disorder."
Still repeating that vile drivel that Savage spews?
YOU are the ones voting against your own best interests.
Brain washed in the worst way.

"Hows is that democrat Schenectady Mayor and City Council working for you?"

Locally, the Democrats aren't worth a damn, but nationally, the Repugnicants are out to ruin this country.

How's it working out for me?
Well, let's see, I live in Niskayuna. Highly rated schools, low crime, clean, with good land values, and low taxes.

How's that ghetto YOU live in working out?

Actually I live in Niskayuna/Colonie border with low Albany County taxes and continue to own property in Schenectady. I didn't know Amanda Way and Shinnecock Hills was considered a ghetto.

"liberals could not exist without conservatives to defend their freedom and support them economically.."

I am independent, but without question lean liberal. I think that may be true of SnowGrinch. S/He and I are both veterans, having defended freedom with more than mere lip service. And I sure as he77 pay my share of taxes.
