Help keep upstate New York working; re-elect Chris Gibson

I’m writing this letter to support Chris Gibson for Congress. My personal opinion is that he’s an honest person with great family morals, and a pillar of his community.

Rep. Gibson has supported various initiatives to get the economy growing and bring jobs back to upstate New York — which is important to us all. He continuously supports pro-growth tax cuts for small-business owners and hard-working families, as well as a lower payroll tax to encourage economic growth. He is working to expand broadband access to help business, farms and customers in underserved rural areas, sponsoring a bipartisan amendment that saved the rural broadband loan program.

He helped devastated upstate communities like ours after Hurricane Irene hit us, by securing increased federal aid for recovery efforts and serving as chair of the bipartisan Hurricane Irene Coalition. He is a strong advocate for farmers, agricultural business and energy alternatives to lower power costs.

Rep. Gibson is a strong supporter of Medicare and Social Security and has voted to preserve both programs without cuts to benefit current recipients and safeguard the service for our future. Please remember that Rep. Gibson has given his full military pension back to the Treasury while serving in Congress. He also has frozen his own pay and voted several times to cut or freeze the office budget.

Rep. Gibson has served our country for 24 years in the U.S. Army with four combat tours to Iraq; his record speaks for itself.

On Nov. 6 I will be voting for Rep. Gibson and hope you will too.

Assemblyman Jordan kept his promises and Saratoga County is proof

I am proud of Assemblyman Tony Jordan for keeping his word to local families here in Saratoga County and delivering us real results in Albany.

Politicians tend to make a lot of promises. Mr. Jordan promised to cap our property taxes, lower our income taxes and grow our regional economy. He has kept his promises and I can already see the results of his efforts. We have lower income taxes, a statewide property tax cap, and he has directed millions of dollars to the area to help rejuvenate our economy.

Clearly, people have taken notice; Tony was selected to lead legislative debates for the Assembly minority conference, where he has focused on giving us relief from job-killing taxes, fees and regulations.

All too often, politicians forget the people and issues that got them into office in the first place, but I know that Tony Jordan will continue to work hard for our community and build on the successes of these past few years.

Please join me on Nov. 6 and cast your vote for Tony Jordan.

Chris Gibson is part of the problem, not the solution.

By all means, lets take this country, and slam it in reverse.
