Police investigate shooting in Schenectady

Schenectady police officers look for shell casings at the scene of shootings at 1311 State St. late Saturday.

— Schenectady police are investigating a shooting that left a man and woman injured late Saturday night.

Police received a call at 11:12 p.m. from a man who said that he and his girlfriend had been shot.

Upon arrival at the location in the area of 1311 State St., officers located a man, 26, who had been shot in the hand and a woman, 23, who had been shot in the abdomen.

Both were treated at the scene and transported to Albany Medical Center.

Police say both victims, who police did not identify, are expected to survive.

Blame the mean spirited Bush Tax Cuts, it works for me. If only Romney would release his tax records and proved that he is not a tax evader these incidents would not happen.
