— A superhero wasn’t around to prevent a suspect from robbing the Electric City Comic Book store this afternoon.

The suspect, described as a black man, about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall and wearing gray pants, entered the store at 1704 Van Vranken Ave. around 12:19 p.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect then fled west with an undetermined amount of cash.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact Schenectady detectives at 382-5245.

Police had no further details.
