— Three city women have been charged in Sunday afternoon stabbing incidents that sent a man and a woman to Albany Medical Center.

Police responded to 106 Woodrow Road, Amsterdam, after two 911 calls, the second stating that someone had been stabbed. Upon arriving, police found that a man and a woman had been stabbed. They were treated at the scene and then transferred to Albany Med with wounds to the abdomen and chest areas. Police today say their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Police were told that several women had arrived at the scene of the stabbings in two separate vehicles and were considered suspects.

Witnesses said that the arguments stemmed from arguments involving kids playing in a basketball game.

While additional officers were arriving at the scene, a vehicle matching the description of a suspect's vehicle was spotted. A vehicle stop was conducted and four women were brought to police headquarters for questioning. One of the stabbing victims was able to identify suspects from photos shown to her at Albany Med, resulting in arrests.

The following face charges:

• S'ade Faulks, 24, of 135 Market St., Amsterdam -- gang assault, second degree, a class C felony;

• Jessica Ramos, 22, of 135 Market St., Amsterdam, gang assault, second degree;

• Mareesa Darby, 17, 68 Mechanic St., Apartment 1, Amsterdam, gang assault, second degree; also, petty larceny, misdemeanor for an unrelated incident.

All three were arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and remanded to Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
