Gloversville woman pleads innocent to attempted murder of cab driver

The Gloversville woman accused of trying to kill a taxi driver in February pleaded innocent this morning to an attempted murder indictment.

Desere D. Shaw, 18, appeared this morning with her attorney Sven Paul for arraignment on a new indictment accusing her of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault. She also faces a fourth-degree grand larceny count.

You cannot plead innocent in an American court - guilty or not guilty. Those are the choices. But the Gazette continually adds that third choice that they made up.
