Albany police seek help looking for robbery suspect

— Albany police are attempting to identify a man who allegedly tried to steal a purse from a 92-year-old woman last month.

The incident happened on March 30 just before 3 p.m. in the vicinity of Washington Avenue and Robin Street. The suspect, described as a black man in his late 20s, knocked the victim to the ground in the unsuccessful robbery attempt. The woman had cuts, bruises and other injuries. She was treated at the scene by Albany Fire Department personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center.
