Middleburgh man faces DWI charge

State police in Cobleskill arrested James J. Sammons, 43, of Middleburgh, for aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. The arrest was part of a state police saturation patrol in Schenectady and Schoharie counties designed to remove intoxicated drivers from the road. Troopers arrested Sammons on State Route 145 in Middleburgh following a traffic stop on Saturday. His blood alcohol level was .21%. Sammons is scheduled to appear in the Town of Middleburgh Court on Wednesday.
