Veterinary technican accused of stealing painkillers from Amsterdam Animal Hospital
AMSTERDAM A veterinarian technician has been accused of stealing pills from the Amsterdam Animal Hospital.
State police said Jennifer M. Townes, 30, of Middleburgh, admitted she took and brought home tramadol pills, which are painkillers. Police searched her home and found a small amount of marijuana, a switchblade knife, as well as the stolen pills.
Townes was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
She was released on a tickets to appear May 7 in Amsterdam Town Court and May 8 in Middleburgh Town Court.
