Corinth man dies, boy injured in car-motorcycle accident in Galway

— Police are investigating a motorcycle accident on Route 29 that killed a Corinth man Sunday.

The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Fishhouse Road. The driver of the car, 47-year-old Clyde Jones III of Gloversville, crossed the center line for unknown reasons and struck the motorcycle head-on, but the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, according to state police.

The motorcyclist, 62-year-old John J. Mackin, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 9-year-old boy who was a passenger on the motorcycle was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with multiple broken bones, according to police.

Jones was treated at the scene and released. His vehicle included two passengers, a 19-year-old woman and a 4-year-old boy, who were both transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police ask anyone with information relating to this accident to call them at 899-2319.

Why no tickets???? THe driver of the automobile crossed the center line and caused the accident... Seems to me that there should be a ticket issued for that and vehicular manslaughter and making that poor boy an orphan....

I want to know when the police are going to do the right thing and charge this schmuck.
