Plastic surgeon Kristen Rezak joins Albany Med
ALBANY — Dr. Kristen Rezak has joined Albany Medical Center’s Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has been appointed assistant professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Albany Medical College.
Double board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery, Rezak completed fellowships in post-pariatric body contouring surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center through Harvard Medical School and a fellowship in microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pa. She concluded her training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida.
Rezak performs all types of plastic surgery and has a special interest in aesthetic surgery and microsurgical free flap breast reconstruction following breast cancer.
Rezak is a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgeons and the Association of Women Surgeons.
Tech Valley earns service award
ALBANY — Tech Valley Communications, a telecommunications service provider operating fiber-optic networks in upstate New York and elsewhere, has received the New York State Public Service Commission’s Excellent Service Commendation for the ninth consecutive year. The commendation notes the level of service TVC has provided during 2012.
The Public Service Commission has been recognizing local exchange carriers since 1988 for excellent service that is based on a providers’ performance.
The PSC 2012 Annual Service Quality Report states that TVC achieved a score of 100 percent on the Customer Trouble Report Rate and had a PSC Complaint Rate of zero for the ninth year in a row.
