Man charged with DWI in Stillwater while turning in firearms

A man who drove to the Stillwater Police Department Friday to surrender firearms for safekeeping was arrested for DWI while there. Stillwater police arrested Matthew D. Walsh, 49, of Stillwater, and charged him with DWI and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, after he failed field sobriety testing. According to police, he is scheduled to appear in Stillwater Town Court at a later date.
