A man is hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting this afternoon in the East Front Street neighborhood.

Police received a report of a stabbing at 5 Madison St. about 3:30 p.m., according to Schenectady police spokesman Lt. Mark McCracken. Officers responding to the call found a man with a gunshot wound to his torso.
