— An on-duty Saratoga County sheriff's deputy was among two people who sustained minor injuries in an accident in the village Thursday night, the sheriff's department reported.

Deputy Mark Nelson was driving a department-owned 2012 Chevrolet Impala en route to an emergency in the town of Day when it collided with a vehicle driven by Clyde L. Switser, 60, of Lake Avenue, Lake Luzerne, at the corner River and Main streets at about 11:35 p.m.

Both drivers were taken to Saratoga Hospital by the Jessups Landing Emergency Medical Service, for treatment of what deputies said were minor injuries.

Switser was ticketed for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, deputies said.
