Report: Teen killed in August crash in Niskayuna was drunk

The teenage driver killed in a head-on crash in August on Aqueduct Road was intoxicated, police said this week. Toxicology tests performed showed that 16-year-old Nicholas J. Giovannone’s blood alcohol content was 0.13 percent, Niskayuna police spokesman Detective Sgt. Daniel McManus said. The legal threshold for driving while intoxicated is 0.08 percent.
