— The Feb. 23 Moonlight Ski and Snowshoe event at Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park is being postponed until Saturday, March 23, due to the lack of sufficient snow.

“We just didn’t get enough snow with [Winter Storm] Nemo and with the warm weather, there are just too many bare and icy spots to run a night-time trail event safely,” said Margo Olson, the preserve's executive director. “We are hoping that we have a nice snowy March so we can finally hold this wonderful, magical event.”

The night ski was already postponed once, from late January until February, in hope that it would improve the chance of sufficient snowcover.

The night ski and snowshoe is sponsored by the Wilton Rotary and by the Healthy Living Market and Cafe that will open this spring at the Wilton Mall. For more information, call the park office at 450-0321 or visit
