Skidmore cancels men's soccer season over hazing incident

Skidmore College won’t have a men’s soccer team this season. President Philip Glotzbach canceled the team’s season Thursday after team members allegedly hazed rookies. In a letter to the Skidmore community, Glotzbach wrote that the hazing happened during “Rookie Night” on Nov. 30. The event involved alcohol, but Glotzbach did not offer specifics. “Fortunately, no students were hospitalized or suffered lasting injury.
