Albany man admits setting fire

An Albany man faces four to eight years in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to arson. Juan Atiles, 30, admitted in Albany County Court to starting a fire in his basement apartment on Crown Terrace on Oct. 7 of last year. Before leaving the apartment, Atiles disabled the smoke detectors, knowing that other residents were in the apartment building at the time, according to a press release from Albany County District Attorney P.
