You mean handcuffing the police (ending stop and frisk) and making it harder for law abiding citizens to own guns will not stop criminals from buying illegal weapons? Wow! Why didn't someone tell Gov. Cuomo?!

After passing gun control laws, even national ones, what will be the next legislative move when these types of crimes continue to occur? Take for example our national war on drugs. That valiant effort has been fabulously successful in ridding the country of illegal drugs. I'm confident that new gun laws will be just as successful. The problem is, only law abiding citizens obey laws, and whether you ban drugs or guns, demand creates its own supply - and all the attendant crime related to the sale of banned items, and so the gun supply will not go away.

We need rational thought and action, not reactive legislation that will make people feel safer, but won't provide the safety that's promised. This simply won't work.
