— Two men were charged with a felony for allegedly entering a residence in Gloversville, taking items and then selling them to a local junk yard.

Charged with burglary were Donald E. Morehouse, 21, of 9 Chestnut St., and Matthew E. Poyfair, 21, of 189 Lily Lake Road, both of Gloversville.

Police said the two men entered 97 Second St. on Jan. 9 around 11 p.m. and took a transmission and transfer case. They then sold the items at a local scrap yard.

Police said the owner of the scrap yard assisted them in their investigation and returned the two items to the owner.

Police said they are investigating the theft of a valve from 97 Second St. They said they do not have enough information to determine whether Poyfair and Morehouse were involved in this incident and are asking for help from the public. Anyone with information about the stolen valve is asked to call police at 773-4505.
