One Friday evening fire destroyed three two-family homes on Dove Street in Albany, while another damaged two homes in Mechanicville. The Albany fire started just before 4 p.m. at 159 Dove St. and spread to the adjacent structure at 161 Dove St. It took about 40 firefighters two hours to get the blaze under control, according to Battalion Chief William Moore.
