— The Equinox Companies of Albany has purchased nine acres of land near the Target store in the Crossing shopping center for $2.8 million from Kenroe Holding LLC, company officials said.

Tyler King of Equinox Companies said the parcel is off Sitterly Road and includes one current tenant, Nortrax Equipment Co., a John Deere dealership.

Equinox owns the Crossing and the new property is considered an expansion of the plaza, parts of which are located in the town of Halfmoon and the town of Clifton Park.

King said his company is talking to prospective tenants for the newly acquired property near Northway Exit 9, but no contracts have been signed.
