— A road in the town of Dresden was partially flooded this morning after high water breached a nearby beaver dam.

State police said troopers from Granville responded to flooding on County Route 6A around 9:45 a.m. The dam breach had caused the banks of Foster’s Brook to overflow in several spots, sending water and debris into the road and causing minor property damage to several nearby homes.

No one was injured, and the road sustained no damage and has since been reopened.

State police were assisted by Washington County Emergency Services, the Huletts Landing Fire Department and state Department of Environmental Conservation and Department of Transportation officials.
