The owner of a row of brownstones gutted by fire early Sunday said he plans to do his best to save the facade of the Woodlawn Avenue buildings. “We’re hopefully optimistic,” Robert Israel said of preserving the front of the late-19th century rowhouses. I am so glad they will be trying to save the facades. They are just so beautiful, I cannot imagine having to tear them down. Best of luck :)
