Man faces welfare fraud charge

A Clifton Park man was indicted Monday on theft and welfare fraud charges because authorities said he got $31,668.44 in Medicaid services fraudulently. Michael Faden, 44, of 6M Hollandale Lane was charged in Saratoga County Court with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny and seven counts of offering a false instrument for filing, all felonies.
