The Niskayuna Board of Education voted Tuesday night to extend the contract of Superintendent Susan Kay Salvaggio by one year, amid calls from some members of the public to delay the vote until new board members are seated. The smirks, side glances, and the note passing by the Board members during the public comment portion of the agenda told the story. The "fix was in"! Then, the lame duckers moved on to the back patting and rubber stamping portion of the agenda. The drama club would have been proud of this theatre of the absurd production.
