$30M Halfmoon elder care facility proposal moves forward

A proposed $30 million, 133-unit elderly care facility cleared one bureaucratic obstacle this month, but is still subject to additional review. The Town Board, at its June 5 meeting, approved a planned development district on Route 146 east of Route 9, a site that is also envisioned as the eventual home for a hospital or medical offices.
