Power restored to parts of Glenville

— Power has been restored to a large portion of town that was without power earlier today.

According to National Grid's website, the outage began at 10:08 a.m. and affecting 1,622 customers.

The affected area highlighted on National Grid's outage map included Route 50, from Glenridge Road to Worden Road; part of Maple Avenue; Freeman's Bridge Road and a portion of Erie Boulevard in Schenectady.

Areas adjacent to those roads were affected as well.

The cause of the outage is not immediately known.
