Capital Region trails only NYC in state job growth

The Capital Region added 4,900 private sector jobs from January 2012 to January 2013, according to state Department of Labor figures out today. When combined with government jobs, though, the region added a net 4,000 jobs for a year-over-year increase of 0.9 percent. The Albany-Schenectady-Troy metropolitan area was second behind New York City for the most jobs added last month.
