Woman sentenced to 8 years for burglary, killing dog

A Troy woman was sentenced to eight years in state prison for burglarizing and setting fire to a home, and killing a caged dog in the process. Khadijah Hopkins, 26, was sentenced in Albany County Court this morning before Judge Peter Lynch, who also gave her five years of post-release supervision, according to a news release issued today by the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
