— The 33-year-old Gansevoort mother who allegedly hired exotic dancers to entertain at her son’s 16th birthday party pleaded not guilty Thursday to five misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

Judy Viger of Dimmick Road was arraigned before Moreau Town Justice Timothy Alden.

Her case was then adjourned until April 4 in Moreau Town Court.

Her lawyer, Joseph Brennan, says she thought they’d only perform singing “bikini grams” and she tried to stop them when things got out of hand. Two women did lewd dances for five teens under the age of 17 during the party at a bowling alley on Nov. 3.

Brennan says it took his client 10 minutes to get them to stop after the performance turned into more than she expected.

Hard to believe this "mother" when she says she spent ten minutes trying to stop the strippers. It shouldn't take more than about 45 seconds to put an end to a few lap dancer. Bottom line is this mother - I use the word, mother, loosely - hired strippers for her son's 16th birthday party.

There were no strippers at the party, they were dancers. I am sure those boys have seen more scantily clad girls poolside. If anything this is bragging rights and a memory for life, I doubt they will become mass murders because of the pain suffered at the party. They are 16 and can drive a 4000 lb death machine but can't see a thong, sorta like coming back from 2 years in combat but not being able to buy a beer!
