Mom tried to stop strippers at party: lawyer
QUEENSBURY The 33-year-old Gansevoort mother who allegedly hired exotic dancers to entertain at her son’s 16th birthday party pleaded not guilty Thursday to five misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a child.
Judy Viger of Dimmick Road was arraigned before Moreau Town Justice Timothy Alden.
Her case was then adjourned until April 4 in Moreau Town Court.
Her lawyer, Joseph Brennan, says she thought they’d only perform singing “bikini grams” and she tried to stop them when things got out of hand. Two women did lewd dances for five teens under the age of 17 during the party at a bowling alley on Nov. 3.
Brennan says it took his client 10 minutes to get them to stop after the performance turned into more than she expected.
