Albany girls fall short in regional finals, 50-49

Defending state champion Cic­ero-North Syracuse topped Albany, 51-49, with 20 points from Abbey Timpano Saturday in the In the Class AA girls’ regional final at Onondaga Community College. Section III’s Northstars (19-3) made 14 straight free throws in the fourth quarter, during which time Timpano went 10-for-10 from the line.
