Schenectady stabbing victim's condition upgraded
SCHENECTADY The man stabbed Sunday at Yates Village is now in fair condition, according to Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Marcus J. Reid, 27, of Schenectady, was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery Sunday and was initially in critical condition. He improved overnight, hospital officials said.
Police said he was stabbed by Sean T. Gailliard, 24.
Gailliard was charged with first-degree assault, a felony that carries up to 25 years in state prison. Authorities said today he was released on bail.
