— On Wednesday night, the Niskayuna Department of Music Education presented its All-District Choral Festival at Proctors.

The festival spotlighted the 750-plus students involved in the district choral program, along with featured guest artist and conductor Jeffrey Francom from the Crane School of Music at the State University College at Potsdam. The concert was the culmination of Francom’s three-day artist-in-residency at Niskayuna.

Francom directs the Crane Chorus, Men's Ensemble, and Potsdam Community Chorus, and teaches conducting and secondary choral methods.

The festival is supported by Niskayuna Friends of Music.
