At least one home was damaged and numerous properties lost water service after a large transmission line ruptured late Friday afternoon. Town officials shut down a section Curry Road between Helderberg Avenue and Cedarlawn Avenue in the effort to fix the rupture, which sent water cascading down the major thoroughfare.
