Man gets six months in jail for Saratoga Springs assault
BALLSTON SPA One of the men involved in an assault in April in Saratoga Springs was sentenced Monday to spend six months in jail.
Jacob A. Boldt, 24, of Purinton Road, Gansevoort, was sentenced by Saratoga County Court Judge Jerry J. Scarano after pleading guilty in September to attempted burglary, third-degree assault and misdemeanor possession of a weapon.
Boldt and three other people were charged in connection with an April 6 incident in which they went to a residence at Whitmore Court Apartments, where one of the men had earlier that evening been thrown out of a party.
A man there was beaten with a hammer and other blunt objects and threatened with a knife.
In addition to the six months in jail, Bolt is to serve five years’ probation.
