Amsterdam, B-P school districts, BOCES receive state grants

The Broadalbin-Perth and Amsterdam school districts were big winners in the second round of state grants awarded to develop effective teachers and school leaders. Almost $25 million worth of funding was announced Wednesday by the state Education Department, which is directing $220,125 to the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District and $441,758 to the Greater Amsterdam School District.
